Description
This apple has an almost Cox-like flavour, both rich and sweet. The flesh is fine textured and juicy. It was raised by the Laxton Brothers of Bedfordshire in 1897 and produces a vigorous, hardy and fairly disease resistant tree suitable for growing in more northern areas of the U.K. It received an RHS award of merit in 1919 and a First Class Certificate in 1921.
