Identified as Crimson Victoria by Mr R.R. Williams, Long Ashton Research Station from fruit obtained from a small private orchard at Shute, Axminster, Devon - citation from National Fruit Collection.
A good local East Devon dual purpose variety. Early to mid-season, a useful early sharp cider apple and can be used for cooking.
