Description
This is an attractive, fine quality apple that is best eaten straight from the tree in early September. The apples have fairly soft, juicy flesh with a strong fruity scent. They are unusual in appearance with a yellow/red complexion and rather flat shape. The tree is hardy and can withstand exposed areas and harsh conditions. Introduced to England from County Sligo, Ireland, this apple tree variety was found in 1819
