Description
Small in size but not in taste! 'Pitmaston Pineapple' is a richly flavoured apple with an overall sweet-sharp characteristic, boasting nutty, honey overtones and the distinctive pineapple flavour after which it is named. The apples are golden with dots of russet. It is a great variety for those with a young family as the fruit is small and sweet enough for children to enjoy. Even when fully grown the tree remains compact in size, which also makes it a good choice for the smaller garden.
Originally from Hereford, 'Pitmaston Pineapple' dates back to the late 18th century, and remains a popular and highly regarded choice.
