Description
Hauszwetsche is a lovely dark-blue prune/damson. This variety has been grown across central Europe for centuries and is most commonly used for cooking. It is a free-stone plum/prune, so easy to process in the kitchen, and the flesh is fairly dry, again making it very useful in cakes and baking. It is also delicious when eaten straight from the tree, and does well in the UK in all regions.
A great variety, one worth having.
