This summer fruiting raspberry fruits heavily, with good sized and fine flavoured berries, picking late June-July. The berries are excellent fresh and will hang on the bush for up to a week without becoming over-ripe. <br> <br> Malling Jewel is the right summer raspberry for windier, more exposed locations or poorer soil. It is very disease resistant. Cropping is not as heavy as Glen Ample, our other summer fruiting raspberry, but it is an easier plant to grow in more challenging conditions. For Cornwall/Devon/Wales, etc, we recommend Malling Jewel for summer cropping.
