Description

Upton Pyne is a dual purpose mid to late-season apple raised by Mr. Pyne of Topsham, Devon around 1910. It is an upright tree of moderate vigour and produces attractive oblong shaped yellow apples with scarlet flush. It is notable for its pretty pink blossom.The flesh is white and juicy with a pleasant pineapple flavour, making a pleasant dessert fruit and a fine brisk puree when cooked.
