Description
When fully ripe the apples from a 'Worcester Pearmain' can have a delicious and intense sweet strawberry flavour. It is one of the best early-season dessert fruit, crisp and juicy with an excellent sugar/acid balance. If you are considering planting an apple tree for juicing, ‘Worcester Pearmain’ would make a good choice. The tree itself is an upright, moderately vigorous grower that's hardy enough to cope with late spring frosts. The highly decorative pink blossom has also helped contribute to its popularity as a garden variety. Originated in Worcester 1873.
